PTC is committed to respecting the privacy of staff, program participants, volunteers and donors. Our privacy policy has been established to ensure that personal information will not be shared with any third party.
How we collect information about you
Personal information is collected through a variety of means including program intake or registration forms, event registration, letters, phone calls, emails, voice mails,
Information collected
Pui Tak Center collects various types of personal information that is reasonably necessary for your role with Pui Tak Center.

Donor information may include name, address, phone number, and email.

Program Participant information may include name, address, phone number, email, date of birth, immigration (status and date of arrival) and information specific to certain programs (For instance, the Children and Youth Program may collect parent and emergency contact as well as medical conditions. The Immigrant Welcoming Center may collect financial and medical information related to case management.)
If program participants provide information with the intent or purpose of fraud or that results in either an actual crime of fraud for any reason including willful or un-willful acts of negligence whether intended or not, or in any way demonstrates or indicates attempted fraud, this information can be given to legal authorities including police, investigators, courts, and/or attorneys or other legal professionals, as well as any other information as permitted by law.
For recurring donors, credit card and ACH payment information is maintained by our payment processor (IATS Payments).
For Hope Counseling, credit card and ACH payment information is maintained by our payment processor (Therapy Notes).
Use of information
For donors, personal information will be shared only with those who are responsible to solicit and record donations. Donation amounts will not be shared with program staff and board members.
For program participants, the information that you provide will be primarily used by the program department which you seek services. To provide more comprehensive services, contact information may be shared with other Pui Tak Center programs. Other personal information (such as financial situation and medical condition) will not be shared between program departments.
Information that we do not collect
Online: Pui Tak Center does not use cookies on our website to collect data from our site visitors. We do not collect information about site visitors except for one hit counter on the main index page that simply records the number of visitors and no other data.
Sharing with Third Party
Pui Tak Center will not give out, exchange, barter, sell, lend or disseminate any information about donors and program participants to unrelated third parties.
Limited Right to Use Non-Identifying Personal Information

On our registration/intake forms, we ask program participants to allow Pui Tak Center to use non-identifying information about our clients (those who receive services or goods from or through us) for fundraising and promotional purposes that are directly related to our mission.

Program participants will not be compensated for this use and no identifying information (photos, addresses, phone numbers, contact information, full names or uniquely identifiable names) will be used without client’s express advance permission.

Program participants may specifically request that NO information be used whatsoever for promotional purposes, but you must identify any requested restrictions in writing. We respect your right to privacy and assure you no identifying information or photos will ever be publicly used without your direct or indirect consent.
Removal from Contact Lists
PTC does not want to send unwanted information to donors and program participants. Pui Tak Center will provide ways to unsubscribe from mail, email and text messages. Donors and program participants should contact us if they wish to be removed from the any contact list.
