Would you like to try a new approach to learning English? An approach that will improve your listening skills, teach you how to handle issues at the work place and in the community, and improve your computer skills If so, our computer-based English class using English for All might be right for you. In this class, students learn English using a free web-based program called English For All (EFA) program with the guidance of an instructor. The program features interesting videos that strengthen listening skills. The videos are accompanied by full transcripts and quizzes on vocabulary, comprehension, and grammar, as well as civics skills lessons. The instructor supplements the program with writing and speaking activities. Additionally, students learn basic computer skills, do targeted Internet searches, and complete projects that incorporate their new fund of knowledge.
The course is designed to be completed in two seven-week terms. Students may choose to enroll in a late morning class or an evening class. The classes are held in our computer center year around on an open-entry basis.
Even if you don’t join our class, you can preview and use EFA by going to www.myefa.org.
